Folded three times so that when closed the front cover is the title open field poem; each word or phrase of which appears to have been printed on filing cards. Both this poem &, more extensively, her Translations of a Dandelion muse upon the etymological drift of the dandelion’s French & English colloquial names as well as the Charlotte Gainsbourg song & Larousse’s use of Eugene Grasset’s image of a young woman blowing a dandelion clock to depict the dissemination of knowledge (both reproduced here).
