A book of confidently woman-centred poetry in which the ‘I’ or ‘she’ figures in the majority of poems feel close to the author herself and speak of their experience with wry accuracy and self- observation. The subjects are often aspects of relationships, done with an unsentimental but not cynical eye; arranged in three long sections and weaving references from one poem to the next.
