Frontis. portrait. Ex -library copy with bookplate, withdrawn stamp & a few small *St Martin-in-the-Fields” stamps at head of text. Barely perceptible blind stamp to front board & tail of spine unobtrusively labeled with an additional Carew in gilt. Edges rubbed with slight nonstructural loss at head of spine. Internally some brittleness in evidence to the paper with a small fragment at fore edge of frontis (image unaffected) missing & single short closed tear to it & title page otherwise text clean.
