Hand-bound typescript of the 14 poems originally published in 1918 by Basil Blackwell in Galleys Laden along with the work of Nora O’Sullivan, C. Doyle & Gwen Upcott. Including here for the first time in addition to Nosworthy’s introduction which quotes extensively from A. R. P. Wolter’s 1947 memoir is an anonymous sonnet ‘The Windsor Prayer Meeting, 1647’ published in Tamesis originally thought by Nosworthy & Blunden to be by Wilfred Owen who also trained as a teacher at Reading. Laid in is a handwritten 12 line note to Nosworthy giving the background to the poem’s subject matter.
