Description
Hecht, Anthony. The Hard Hours. New York: Atheneum, 1967. First Edition. Blue Cloth. Near Fine. pp. (viii), 103 + (1) biog. As appears to be very often the case the book has a thin strip of sunning at head of spine where it must have showed above the dust jacket. The latter has four i.e. two sets of two pinhead-sized shallow & non penetrative indentations on the front panel as if from a too pressing proximity to a side-stapled book. In all other respects an exceptional copy in like dust jacket of Hecht’s prize-winning collection which, of course, includes Baskin’s medallion wood engravings for the Seven Deadly Sins sequence.
