Description
Li Qingzhao, Poet is a new translation into English of the lyric poems of Li Qingzhao, (1084 – 1150), the most well-known woman poet of the Song Dynasty. Intended for the general reader in the West, it is supported by a brief critical preface and explanatory notes. The translator is herself a published poet and a scholar of early women’s writing. The book is lightly illustrated, and offers an excellent introduction to this important poet.
