Both this poem &, more extensively, her Translations of a Dandelion muse upon the etymological drift of the dandelion’s French & English colloquial names as well as the Charlotte Gainsbourg song & Larousse’s use of Eugene Grasset’s image of a young woman blowing a dandelion clock to depict the dissemination of knowledge (both reproduced here).
