On title page is written ‘ For George and Maureen with much love John 27.10. 2000.’ For his ex colleague at Nottingham University George Parfitt editor and author of books on the 17th century and the 1st W.W. and his wife Maureen Bell whose publications have generally been on the history of the book-trade. Very light creasing to covers at spine and a little offsetting from flaps to endpapers (both production faults).
